Thanks to the 7 club members, 2 guests and Tig, who joined me for a slightly shortened short walk from Cutthroat Bridge. We started early, at 10am, and got halfway round the original route before the rains came. By this time we had walked down the old carriage track , crossed behind the Ladybower Inn and walked back up to the Edge, We’d stopped for coffee/lunch 10m below the edge, and precipitation started as we finished our drinks. On the top it was wet and windy, and a unanimous decision was made to take the direct route back to the cars, with the wind at our backs. This reduced the distance to about 4.5 miles, but avoided a final into-wind section. In fact the rain stopped just before we got to the road, and we peeled off wet gear comfortably. My visitors had called off their trip the day before, so four of us headed to a cafe, while the rest went home. Not bad for a late December day.
